At LIFE Academy, we believe that with the right tools and mindset, every student can fly. Our academic program nurtures students to become critical thinkers and leaders, guiding them to soar academically and personally.
HOW WE MEASURE ACADEMIC SUCCESS
At LIFE Academy, we assess academic success through a variety of indicators to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each student's progress. We track grades on assignments and tests, standardized test scores, classroom participation, project completion, and ongoing observations of student growth. A strong focus is placed on mastery of core subjects, including reading, math, science, writing, and social studies, to ensure students develop a well-rounded academic foundation.
Students in grades 2-8 will participate in the ACAP assessment, providing valuable insight into their academic achievements. Additionally, all students receiving English Language (EL) services will take part in the ACCESS testing to measure their language proficiency and track their progress in language development.

We are thrilled to announce significant progress in our students’ reading growth between i-Ready Diagnostic Window 2 and Window 3 for the 2024–2025 school year!

We’re proud to report that our scholars at Life Academy showed remarkable improvement in their i-Ready Math Diagnostic performance, proving that hard work and targeted support make a lasting impact.

OUR TEACHING METHODOLOGY
At LIFE Academy, we employ innovative teaching methods that align with the developmental needs of our students. Each grade level utilizes a tailored approach to foster a deeper understanding and love for learning.​
​Grades K-5: Inquiry-Based Learning
In grades K-5, we focus on inquiry-based learning, a method that encourages students to explore and ask questions to drive their own learning. Students are given the freedom to investigate topics, develop critical thinking skills, and form connections between what they learn and the world around them. This approach nurtures curiosity, independence, and a deeper understanding of academic content, empowering young learners to take ownership of their education.
Grades 6-8: Project-Based Learning
For students in grades 6-8, we implement project-based learning (PBL). PBL challenges students to engage with real-world problems through hands-on projects. They work collaboratively, applying their academic knowledge to solve complex issues and create solutions. This approach fosters teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity, while preparing students for future academic and career challenges by giving them practical experience in applying what they've learned.
